So, it seems that my ongoing headache is likely due to a leak in my spinal fluid. This would be as a result of the LP I had on Monday. Since hydration, caffeine, sugar, and Tylenol don’t help, and lying down does, a leak is the logical suspect. Hubs got to ditch out of work early to bring me down to Evanston Hospital to have what’s called a blood patch. They will draw some blood from me, and inject it in my epidural space to patch the leaky hole. Doesn’t that sound like fun? It should provide instant relief. According to Nurse Janet, I’ll feel like a new woman. Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman, perhaps. I’ll let you know.

Hope your headache is better. I had a spinal headache after a C-section. It hurt like an SOB for 48 hours before someone figured out what the culprit was. Instant relief after the blood patch! I sure hope that is the case for you!
